I am a little bit surprised that no one on this list has commented that
Bush Jr attended the Philips Andover Academy the same years that the
Torques (?) and others made their prep school sound such a hit.  Yes,
Bush attended high school with the Torques.

now mind you, Bush said that he attended, I think San Jacinto High in
Texas, but he actually was at Phillips Andover during the frat rock
heyday there-- since he's an old line New Englander- there's a great
interview with him around '88 where he says that he went to San Jacinto
and his father went to like Midland TX high when his father that same
day had told the truth about attending a New England prep school- I
mean, it should be pretty easy to figure out which high school you went
to.  See... Todd Abramson's Breakthrough magazine(??) for more info on
that scene.  (I think, this is stretching my memory a whole lot, but I
thought it was in Breakthrough).

and apologies for posting that non-rock message before.  just needed to
jump in because I saw this same thing with Colin Powell and John McCain,
if people don't know the person, they project all kinds of views onto
that person, so sometimes a little more info can help people straighten
things out in their mind.
