Well, okay, maybe so :-) I need to give it another listen with
my 21st-century ears... I guess if my theory were really true
he would have called that record "Winterlude"... My fave tunes
on that record (which it looks like maybe I don't even own
anymore) were always "If Dogs Run Free" and "Day of the
Locust" (or whatever it was called). I was kinda horrified by
that record when I first heard it, particularly the tune that
includes the line "build me a cabin in utah, have a bunch of
kids that call me 'pa', that must be what it's all about"...
[and yes, soft parade!!!! good one! and 'waiting for the sun'!
every doors album, now that i think about it.... :-)]

for a while...]
