Bass player Robbie Warren speaks in the first of three planned interview
with members of Died Pretty, about to embark on their farewell Australian
tour.

Also reviewed: Died Pretty's swansong single as well as discs by The Savages
(killer Scandi-Detroit-Stones guitar attack), The Datson 4 (Canadian
mod-beat), The Hellacopters (no introduction needed), The Sonic Dolls
(German punk), The Persian Rugs (Gurus in trippers' clothing), the Hekawis
(acid punk in American Indian clothing) and Framed (Swiss guitar rock).

Live: we catch the Dictators with the Celibate Rifles and The Casanovas, not
once but twice, and psych outfit Frog Hollow, live in Canberra (yes, there
are live things in Canberra.) There's also an old Monarchs review, printed
for the first time because we lost it and also to mark their impending
return from the dead (the first reason being more valid).
