[bomp] RE:expensive musical additions
From: Shake6677@aol.comShake6677@aol.com
good thread idea: what's the most anyone has paid for one piece
of music, be
it a lp, 45, cd or memorabilia? i'm curious. i'll have to think
about what
mine is... oh, and if that album makes you happy and brings ya
joy, it's
worth the fifty bucks, in my book.

reading that just reminds me of the thread that was going on
recently over on thewire list concerning the Merzbow 50cd box set. about
how easy it was to actually familiarise oneself with that amount of
music for one thing.
and if it was actually just a folly purchase or something.
it went for about £500 .
As to music I think that what I'm listening to right now is
probably roughly in the area of most expensive and thats around 26
euros.
No , there have been some more expensive things
Like the Butthole Surfers official bootleg which cost me I think
£20 in the late 80s. Yeah considering inflation etc thats probably about
right. or the SWans Filth/Body to bOdy reissue and Purple TRap's double
cd which were £25 each a couple of years back.
Then theres box sets which are normally a tad higher.
But still nothing overly extravagant. I'm into the music far
more than the originality of the item itself.
