Well, I'm old and critical, but I still think The Hives do 
mind-bogglingly great garage.

I don't see The Strokes, The White Stripes, BRMC, Trail of Dead or The 
Vines as garage, however. They're simply great rock and roll. It's a 
great time for buying new records!!!
