No. No. Depends.
Let me tell you a little story about a guy who heard all the hype about
Elvis Costello when he first hit the record racks. The guy only heard
Watching The Detectives and Allison, and dismissed the strangely named
fellow. When the second album came out, it included a free single.
Hearing Neat, Neat, Neat and Stranger In The House, he decided that the
guy with the funny glasses was simply not worth listening to. However,
when Mick Jones of The Clash played lead guitar on Big Tears, the young
man was forced to take another listen. He heard something in The Other
Elvis that he hadn't heard before. A listen to the rest of This Year's
Model confirmed that he had been wrong about the guy named after
Abbott's partner. He became a huge EC fan and lived happily ever after.
That young man was me...and now you know the rest of the story.
