i admit, even i started talking shit about the Nu Garage Generation (or
whatever), but at the end of the day, i'm like you, rob - who really cares??
it's like i've said before: i don't care if my music is #1 on the charts,
just as long as its in the stores where i can buy it and in the clubs where i
can see/hear it. my best of 2002 so far includes the new albums by solomon
burke, hank williams jr., and the posthumous joey ramone thing, but i'm not
worrying if these CD's represent the future of soul, country, or punk rock.
if they do, fine. if they don't, i'll still play these biscuits until i am
tired of them.

so i was just kinda wondering about this. at the

well, a couple years ago i was going through a phase where i was snapping up
all the rolling stones albums from their pre-psych period (1964-66) on
vinyl...and i got the first four who albums a long-ass time ago (the first
four albums are really all i care about from that band, anyway), so far as
i'm concerned, i'm done with it.

myself, i'd rather see lists of obscure 45's or LP's somebody bought at a
used sale or something (like Brian NFTG used to do at the beginning of the
year), but what the hey
