Hmmmm...not sure, but I'd guess that most of us on the list who are into the
mid-sixties NOW sound usually find mono mixes as good as and often superior
to stereo versions of beat and garage records.  Have you heard the Nuggets
box?  Have you heard the Del Vettes "last Time Around" in both?  Mono
version totally kicks stereo's ass.
