The Makeup had a vibe heavier than God, even if it all did begin to sound a
bit the same after a while.
The Strokes put out a record that is, from a bunch of kids who've never
released a full-length before, nothing short of stunning. And at least four
of the songs on it are pure genius.
The Vines suck shit out of a wet paper bag.
The Hives are a fucking blast.
The White Stripes have a half dozen great songs at least between their last
two: check "Apple Blossom" , "Fell In Love With A Girl" , "You're Pretty
Good Looking" , etcetera.
