[bomp] Re: hoax obits / Phil Hendrie Show
My favorite Lloyd Bonafide bit is the first one I ever heard - I thought he
was real at first. He was complaining about widespread desecration of the
U.S. flag since 9/11 - and according to the US Military Code of Conduct, a
desecrated flag has to be burned. I thought it was some old coot, as the
callers did. I realized it was a comedy routine when he claimed he had to
torch the American flag t-shirt of a five-year old at the mall who dripped
Rocky Road ice cream on it (not only because he desecrated it by spilling
ice cream on it, but because Rocky Road reminded him of the frozen mud of
Korea in which a lot of our boys crawled in and died!).
