Subject: [bomp] new garage bands in your areas?
Hey guys,
I'm curious to know about any new garage bands in your area. Whether they
have stuff out or not.

Here in NYC we have:
The Little Killers - fun lo-fi 3-piece who do revved-up 50s-type RnB
Spittoons - all your fave covers from Everly Brothers to the Ramones
Thee Jezebels - the names sez it all, doesn't it?
Some Action - cool snotty 70s-type punk
Memphis Morticians - stompy & swampy - their bassist recently switched to
a home-made stand-up bass!
The Yams - actually they haven't even had their first gig yet, but any
band with Dave The Spazz and Hambone Legbone has got to be great!
Rogers Sisters - not garage-y exactly but their 1st single was produced
by Dan Melchior and was kinda lo-fi & blues-y; newer stuff is kinda
dancy/kinda 80s new-wave-ish. I love 'em!
Tie Reds - remind me of Les Sexareenos - great!
Blue Sparks - watch for their Sknoof-produced CD!
