I did almost stop the school bus load of kids I was driving 5 years ago when
I drove by a house which had stacks of vinyl on curb side for the trash.
Realizing I'd land on the 6 pm news and probably in my own newspaper for such
a stunt I raced to school, de-bussed the kiddies and beat the garbage truck
back to the vinyl towers. There was nothing rare, but I managed to liberate a
few choice Beach boys and oldies LPs while bullshitting with the homeowner
who carrying on about too much stuff not enough room in a freakin' 2 story
house. Priorities man!
In a slightly different vein there was a suf themed bar in Hoboken NJ which
was reininventing it's self and tossing out all the surf themed decor. I went
back for the long board, but it had been toosed in the trash. I'm hoping
somewhere in Jersey there is a surfin trashman out there. No good tiki stuff
however.
aware of the pun..Moparlary
