Ron,
While many garage fans know that the Watchband didn't always have much to do
with their records, I for one have never done much reading about them beyond
liner notes and the occasional 'zine article. Perhaps I've read the answer
to my query and have forgotten by now, but since you've been pretty heavily
involved in music for so long now and always put your thoughts together so
well, I was hoping you could expand on what you wrote above.
What *were* the Watchband like live when you saw them then? How would you
characterize their show and sound?
What did you and your friends think of the records when they came out? Did
most of their fans know what had happened on their records or were they
mystified by what was on the LPs?
Thanks,
Blair
