I'm no expert on rhetoric, but to take gratuitous swipes at the music 
scenes in cities that aren't New York would seem to be an obstacle to 
advancing your case.  In fact, it only serves to reinforce the 
stereotype of NYers as arrogant and provincial.  Also couldn't help but 
notice that Boston didn't make your list of 'chicken-shit towns.'  Guess 
that's one bridge you don't wanna burn.
