THE LITTLE KILLERS
Andy Maltz (the Ernest Tubb of punk rock) and the brutal cavewoman rhythm section of Sarah (bass) and Kari (drums), comprise what will probably be the loudest band at Spazzstock 2004. Their no-bullshit amped up Rock & Roll sounds sufficiently disturbed for Crypt Records to have made the Little Killers their first new signees in many years. Apparently there is a trendy new wave band called "The Killers" that is rapidly gaining popularity, so come see the Little Killers as soon as you can, before they are crushed by lawsuits from our corporate overlords.

THE SPITTOONS
Do you like the Ramones? Arthur Alexander? the Kinks? the Everly Brothers? Chuck Berry? No? Then you won't like these guys! Andy from the Little Killers is also in this band, whose motto is "We Play Songs We Like." Their version of "She's So Fine" is better than the original. Andy plays guitar, Sam plays bass, Kris plays drums, all three sing. If you ever learn enough about personal hygiene to attract a mate, you should get this band to play your wedding.

THE PLUNGERS
Speaking of Kris from the Spittoons, this is her debut as drummer for the awe-inspiring Plungers. Singer/guitarist Masayo snarls the punk rock and wails on a lowslung Les Paul with the best of 'em. JK plays bass and sings some of the songs too. The Plungers, like the Little Killers, understand something that is sadly overlooked by most of the miserable bands out there today: Punk rock is not just "rock," it's rock AND ROLL! Don't bother Masayo at the show, she will just pretend she doesn't speak any English.

SATO & JONNY
But Masayo isn't just a punk rock slasher. She sings rockabilly and country and rock and roll just as pretty and gutsy as you please too, albeit in somewhat broken English. She also slings a mean git-fiddle. Down East meets Far East as Masayo is joined by her husband Jon Chalmers, who is probably the best rock & roll guitarist of all time. Matt (bass) and Dougie (drums) try to stay out of the way as best they can.

THE YAMS
The Yams have the distinction of being the only band at Spazzstock without any members who are in another band on the bill. They also feature Spazzstock namesake Dave the Spazz as frontman. Dave has little regard for his personal safety onstage, so ambulance chasers would be wise to attend. Hambone Legbone plays guitar, Chris plays bass, and the amazing Justina plays stand up drums. No one does dumb punk rock better than the Yams. Their anthem "Fuck You I Quit" is the best song ever written.
