Yeah, sometimes I get guest DJs at Dirty Water and
they only want to impress people with what they've
got. I'll be spinning 45s at the Rockaround too - and
I'll be bringing with me loads of stuff that everyone
here will know, as well as a few things that are less
well known. (Although I reckon that people like
Monoman, Tony the Tiger, etc, will know and own
absolutely everything I bring with me!) The main thing
is, though, that they will ALL be records you can
dance to. PJ

dancing even in a place of rarefied music snobbery (not that that's what yer
club is) but surely you need to get something that motre than the 'elite' know
how to dance to to get people on the floor to dance. Even if you're outside of
the student club/granny disco set. Haven't been to the classic NOrthern Soul
discos or anything but surely it applied even there. You'e not going to get
people to dance to something they don't know. and a dance club's too loud to
have conversations while you're hearing this rare music, or to hear the rare
music for itself? Stevo Np Davey Graham Guitar Player
