[bomp] eh?
hey hey, all i said was that the chicks at the hair clubs were easier on the
eyes than the chicks at the punk clubs. ummm, maybe i shoulda just stopped
with EASIER, eh? haha
Now this is really a matter of taste. I interviewed Kim Fowley and this is
what he had to say about seeing Thelonius Monk at the Purple Onion (on Sunset)
during the '50s: "It was all adobe chic, and very dark inside, with lamps,
stupid lamps, like Tenessee Williams glass managerie, and adobe pastiche
everywhere. All the white guys had horn-rimmed glasses, all the women had no tits and
hairy armpits, and there's me with pimples." Sound familiar?
I think the word "bimbos" pretty much was invented during the hessian era.
Didn't like the hair, didn't like the pumping-iron muscles, couldn't talk to
these "people," and, finally, perhaps the basic good looks were there but these
gals looked like bad '80s porn stars with the extra crispy thing sittin on
their head. Pretty much creeped me out. Prefer bohemia. I mean, its all a
matter of, sometimes, preferring Jean Seberg 1962 to Traci Lords 1987, is what it
kinda comes down to.
