Dude, I have this clip on videotape, minus Bernie Taupin's intro, so I never
knew from whence it came (the bowels of some ghastly variety show, I had
thought)!  I always wished that the third, dishevelled Shatner had thought
to knock his toupee slightly askew, to complete the effect.  If you liked
this, look for a KILLER BBC piece hosted by John Peel called "Funk Me Up,
Scotty!"  It's got Singing Shatner, Leonard Nimoy's gawd-awful "Legend of
Bilbo Baggins" (complete with pointy-eared Vulc...  er, "Hobbit" girls) and
Nichelle Nichols doing a wildly over-funked "Ode to Billy Joe!"
