[bomp] Re: The first Shatner comeback

ok, this book is an absolute must-read, that last word on shatner-lore:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1580630391/102-0129383-0022553?v=glance

the "encyclopedia shatnerica" is an alphabetical dictionary of all things bill.
theres all kind of great stuff in here, from angry denials of toupee usage, to
the revelation that a certain amount of the special effects budget was
allocated (by imperial shatnerian decree) to digitally minimize the width of
captain's kirk's ASS, to this touching, priceless recollection of the late
angelique pettyjohn:

"was she the big-busted girl with the hair? i remember her."

those fucking priceline ads he did 4 or 5 years ago were just totally classic,
some of the best commercials ever made. the first time i saw the shat kneel
into the camera and say "you know what to do, dog - BUST A MOVE" ...i about had
an aneurysm from laughing so hard.

and anybody that hasn't seen "free enterprise," go rent that mother fucker
tomorrow. these two guys meet bill shatner perusing a copy of CHIC in some
bookstore somewhere, and he tells them that his current porject is writing a
screenplay for a musical version of shakespeare's "julius caesar" to be
entitled "william shakepeare and william shatner's julius caesar," and bill is
going to play all the parts himself.

one of the dorks is like "but bill, if you play all the parts yourself...you'll
have to stab yourself in the back."

the shat looks confused for a second, and bounces back with "why not? i've done
it before."
