i've never heard of a tone pedal.  on it's only love i'm pretty sure the
effect a vibrato pedal.  (a la travis wammack but at a more subtle setting).

on wait, i think he's rolling off the tone knob, not the volume -- if you
listen carefully, the sound doesn't really go away, the brightness just kind
of rolls off -- at least to my ears it does.  i used to think guys were
rolling off the volume knob on a bunch of leads i dig, only to discover they
were rolling off the tone knob.
