If you come to NYC, and see something that doesn't make any sense -- a 
highway interchange, a collection of buildings, a blind intersection, some 
badly 
used park space -- and it looks like it's between 35 and 55 years old --
he did it.

Robert Moses did more harm to this city than Osama Bin Laden.

(I erased and re-wrote that last sentence three times, because I know how 
awful that sounds -- but y'know what?  It's the truth.)

If he had anything to do with getting rid of FREEDOMLAND, that's another 
reason to loathe Robert Moses.  I enjoyed that park immensely in 1963.  We, from 
'60s L.A., are all pro-theme park, you must understand...

I liked that FREEDOMLAND story in the WFMU mag recently, the recounting of 
Louis Armstrong walkin' down the main thoroughfare playin' "Hello Dolly," 
goodness-gracious!!!
