[bomp] hiding journalistic verde in Omaha
considering the weekly was an off-shoot of the reader, and the reader was
originally financed by the guys behind the great red shark,
Now, I'm having a time remembering what it was called, but I wrote for it
during 1992/1993.
I did a piece on the Mummies, another one on Big Daddy Roth, another on Sam
Butera coming to Italian Fest, a write up on Gene Sculatti's TOO COOL, another
thing on some Girl Group stage play and a few other things I've forgotten. I
also wrote once for the Note, reviewed the Cramps/Reverend Horton Heat show at
that bowling alley. In a way, I kind of cut my teeth writing for mags there.
My stuff for the Gram Parsons Memorial Foundation during the '80s barely
counts... except for the Gene Clark interviews.
