So it would have been a fairly easy
transition to add a few PCL teams to the majors and infuse the rosters with
a draft from the major leagues,

Brent.... now, I found out recently that this almost happened, I'm not sure 
if I read it or heard it from that old guy who ran a PCL-oriented card shop on 
Taraval when I lived in Frisco.  Whatever the case was, it was pretty damn 
close, and I'm wonderin' if you or anyone has the true dope on that handy...
