Sounds like when I saw Mercyful Fate open up for
Motorhead at
the Country Club. I was laughing continuously through
their entire
set. Oddly enough, in underground metal circles having
seen
Mercyful Fate in the mid 80s is like having seen the
Dictators in
1976 in our circle. I really don't get those people
more than sometime....

They had a really big album, "Look At Yourself",(their
2nd album?I remember they had an album called
"Salisbury" before that) and two big songs, "Look At
Yourself" and "Easy Living" from the album after
that. Oddly enough, that album
didn't seem to sell as much AFAIK - I never saw that
one around to the extent of "Look At Yourself".
That's about the extent of my knowledge of Uriah Heep,
other than they were somehow related to the Bronze
label. I always considered them the poor man's Purple,
as I stated. I actually do like stuff on Purple's
studio albums but I can see where they opened the door
for a lot of Bad Shit.....
