I'll openly admit that the HIghland Clan blatantly used two riffs from the  
Side 3 album (Tonight and Ecstasy) on Meltaway from Gemini On A Full Moon, as  
well as No You Don't from the Sweet. And that's in the first 30 seconds of the 
 song before the first verse. While not note for note, the influence and  
inspiration is definitely from those songs. We just put them in a blender and  
that's what we came up with. The riff from I'm A Rocker used to pop up in That's 
 Cool when they were both in the same set.
 
Supposedly All This And More from the Dead Boys was influenced by  Tonight.  
I've read in various interviews that artists as diverse as  Stiv Bators and 
the Dead Boys, Motley Crue (their hatchet job version of  Tonight is a bonus cut 
on the Too Fast For Love reissue), and Bruce Springsteen  (!). MY bandmates 
from the 80's just didn't get the Raspberries. My drummer  didn't get the fills 
and rolls of Tonight. It's a shame.
