Good Morning Bompers!
 
When I done real punk or new wave, I had a fake British accent.  Most  people 
found it annoying, but I only sang with a fake British accent only  because I 
had trouble having a real talking British accent.  Besides, fake  British 
accents are only annoying if it is posh sounding.  Cockney (working  class) 
accents are, of course, a different story.
