Capitol parking lot swap meet...amen! My first rock concert was Chuck Berry at the Roxy in 1979, in the last show before he went to jail for income tax invasion (after which we walked by the Whisky and heard the last couple songs of Pere Ubu's set through the cracks in the door). We then we went to the Capitol Records parking lot swap meet (actually the parking lot across the street...I never went when it was still in the actual Capitol lot), getting there some time after midnight and spending the night into Sunday morning! What an eye opener that was, and what a load of goodies I picked up...before having to go back to dreary high school on Monday. (I got hip the second time I went, and brought a flashlight like everybody else.)
