[bomp] New Career In Town

As some of you know, when I'm not going on about The Beach Boys or Slade
on this, or other list, I occasional play in a band. So in a shameful
plug, Career Records is please to announce the release of the newest
from Donovan's Brain - A Defeat of Echoes.
It's another cd full of original songs and loads of guitars. In a
surrender to modern technology, you also get a dvd in the deal. This
video comp is the first release on the film/Career label. The Donovan's
Brain's video is an alternate version of the album track Control. The
footage was filmed last spring on the Career Mini-van Of Stars Tour with
Penny Ikinger and Roy Loney. The dvd also features three vids from
Penny's fab album Electra. If you've never heard or seen Penny, you'll
dig it.

Once again, the four Brains have invited some of our friends to help
out. You'll hear some ripping guitar from Deniz Tek and Richard Treece.
When world collide if you ask me. Your close friend and near neighbor,
Bobby Sutliff lent some guitar and sings the lead with Colter on City
Morning. He also did the fantastic Beach Boys recreation... see above.
We also have seen the return of Megan Pickerel to the studio to add her
lovely voice to several tracks. Megan would like to be in the band, but
it's suppose to just be us four guys.

A Defeat Of Echoes was released in the States yesterday. It's scheduled
for June 10th in Australia. The Europeans work on no schedule, and as
far as I can tell it's out now.

If you don't like to leave the house, you can find all the Career
Releases and much more at our Shop
Most of our releases can also be ordered from Bomp Mail Order and cdBaby

So when were not playing in the band, at least three of us Brains are
also radio djs. The good news is that Kglt-fm 91.9 Bozeman is now
streaming on the web. So you don't have to move to Southwest Montana to
hear us. Really, please don't, it's getting far too crowded in our
little town. I play my records every other Friday 3-6pm Mountain Time
(gmt -7) I'll be on the air this Friday, so mark you calendar for the
rest of the year. I play a lot of old singles, so don't be horrified if
you hear "surface noise".
