I saw an interview clip with Macca today talking about his Live 8  
performance of 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band.' Paul was asked if this  was the 
first time he's ever played the song onstage...and he said yes, adding  that 
he hasn't sang the song since the day The Beatles recorded it.
 
I couldn't believe he said that...Paul did that song *every show* of his  
tours of 1989, 1990 and 1993...plus his two "Up Close" concerts at the Ed  
Sullivan Theater in December 1992. (It's also been said that he sang this at  Eric 
Clapton's 1979 wedding reception).
 
First time you've sung the song since the day you recorded it, Paul?  Sure, 
if you don't count the 100+ times in  between.
