hey kids-

this will be a great one -- the ugly beats are bringing 60s corpus christi
garage legends the ZAKARY THAKS to austin for a night of 60s garage rock n
roll this saturday, aug 13 (2005, baby!), at beerland!

bad girl, won't come back, face to face... reports from their set at the
ponderosa stomp had them covering you're gonna miss me and some other
killers as well, and word is they've still got it!  rounding out the bill
are eve & the exiles and the awesome dj danny "waxploitation" shiman.

beerland is a fairly small club (capacity 100), so this'll be a chance to
see some 60s Corpus Christi garage legends in an intimate setting, provided
you get there early enough to avoid having to stand in line and watch from
outside!

in case anyone can't tell from all the exclamation points, i'm super psyched
about this one!
