Re: [bomp] Gwen (Congratulations)
I was wondering if anyone else had recorded it. I heard it two days ago and
it reminded me that I had heard it about a year earlier and there was
something deep down in the 4-4 marching beat and the general sense of dread
that said "cover me." Usually when I hear an old record and get that thought
it turns out that Mink Deville or the Devil Dogs or someone had already done
it, but so far I can't find anything listed besides the Tommy Overstreet
version.
If you have the original, please send it along as an attachment, and thank
you very kindly.
Steve
