And he covered "96 Tears" putting some $$ into Question Mark's pocket. I dig that song of his John Cale put on VINTAGE VIOLENCE.

Yeah, he was born and raised in Brooklyn...spent at least part of his A&M
years on the lower east side, and then went back to Brooklyn.
However -- we saw him open up for David Bromberg in 2003, and when he sang
"New York Skyline" (and brought some tears to these eyes, I don't mind saying)
he mentioned that it was great to be singing that song in NYC because he didn't
live there anymore. I can't recall if he said where he had moved to or not.
Of course that was two years ago, he could be anywhere now...
