[bomp] 9/11 Katrina Benefit with A-BONES, KID CONGO, INSOMNIACS, and more (Brooklyn, NY)!!!

magnetic field is honored to provide a venue to host a benefit concert
for the victims of hurricane katrina from our very own rock'n'roll
community. the event will be happening this sunday (9/11), which is a
most appropriate date, seeing as it gives us a chance as new yorkers to
give back to those who were there for us during our own tragic day four
years ago.
the line-up... brooklyn's legendary A-BONES (ex-cramps/zantees), KID
CONGO POWERS AND THE PINK MONKEY BIRDS (kid congo has played with the
gun club, cramps, bad seeds, and so on), and THE INSOMNIACS (nj mod-pop
legends). dj action will be provided by TIM WARREN (crypt records),
JOSH STYLES (smashed blocked), THE THING WITH TWO HEADS (penetration),
DAVE THE SPAZZ (wfmu), PADDY BOLLOCKS (penetration/shop fronts), and
TOM DASH (dot dash/shop fronts).
more bands and djs are in the process of being confirmed -- check the

later today.
all of the door proceeds will go directly towards helping folks in need
via the rock'n'roll community fund and the new orleans musicians
clinic. there will also be stuff for sale, and raffled off, all of
which will also benefit the charities.
with such short notice, we really need people to spread the word on the
show. so please email all your friends.
