[bomp] Re: Georgy Girl (and that great song that no one knows about)
Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening Once Again....
NAKER PHLG @ AOL.COM WRITES: Unfortunately, nobody
seems to know who that was...Record collectors have
been trying to find out for years and no one has an answer.
It's a great song...or a great fragment at least. Sounds to me
like a rocking "answer" to "Searchin.'"
MELVIN LITTLE REPLIES: Forgive me for addressing you by your screen-name
since you didn't sign your post at the end. By the way, thank you for your
quick reply. This will save me months of frustration going after this song. I
just can't get it out of my head; it's a great fucking song there (or fragment
at least). Here's a legal inquiry. If there's no one that gets the legal
credit for this song (in spite of it being in the movie), could someone (maybe
me or someone else) rip off some of the cord/melody of that particular song
into a 2005 version of it. A friend of mine wants me to write a song for a
mutual friend of hers, and I am thinking of great lyrics myself to this
melody. What could be the legal repercussions? I've talked to some people about
getting a band together for awhile. Do y'all like the sound of "The
Fassbenders?"
Cheers,
Melvin Little
