Man....I just remembered seeing these guys in beat to shit vans by the side of the road selling eight tracks by a group called the "Sound Effects" doing covers of the latest albums of the day.  So back in 73, you'd pick through boxes of tapes, in the back of a van driven by a guy who smelled of peppermint schnapps and slim jims.  You could pick up Billion Dollar Babies for a buck, with a cheesy cover stuck on it, slap that sucker in and it would be Alice and the band.

Yup, got some Tull, Alice, Grand Funk, Raiders all by the "Sound Effects".  Priced to move and we didn't wind up with our throats slit behind the power station.
