several of the big hotel chains Marriot, Doubletree, etc  have hotels  in 
downtown Jersey city which is just a PATH (tiny subway sytem) or ferry ride  
across form NYC. Make sure they are located in downtown Jersey City (hint they  
will carry a 07302 zip code. )
