I put the link to the party ad out the other day on the Noise Board, a forum 
for local (read: Boston) rock and the responses were divided between those 
who thought it was a good deal (for New York) and those who couldn't 
understand why someone would pay $300 to see NY Dolls without David Jo (is 
that true?) and bands like CKings, The Woggles or Charms that you can see 
locally for $8 to $12 without driving the 220 miles and dealing with the 
amateurs who can't handle their liquor.  I would surely go if I had comps 
but that'll never happen as I'm pretty much out of that loop now and have 
been for a while.    I know the guy that argued the hardest in favor of it 
was going on Renegade Nation's dime.
