I bought a '65 in high school (mid-80s) because I saw Muddy Waters playing
one (never like the Lovin' Spoonful). I traded it for a UK Vox Mk III
(because it looked cool and I wanted to be Brian Jones but what a shitty
guitar) and an AC30 amp and wish to this day that I never did it (I was able
to trade the amp for an early 60s Fender Twin). Somebody tried to sell one
on eBay recently for $3,500 but there were no takers (I have seen these go
as high as $4,000)
