I tried 'em and I didn't like 'em. I don't like the feel or the tone. I'll
stick with my Fenders, Gibsons, Guilds (like my b'day gift to myself of a
'66 Starfire III!!!) and Gretschs (with the odd Silvertone and Kent tossed
in). I also despise those modeling amps. I tried 2 different models and I
never thought that they actually sounded like the amps they were trying to
sound like. I also hated the reverb on these things- tinny and weak. No good
crashing reverb like with a Fender. The only amps I like anymore are vintage
Fenders (and a couple of other oddities I have). Other than the vintage
AC-30s, I really don't like Vox amps. I know people that swear by these but
they just aren't for me.
