well, you've definitely got a point there, but after waiting almost 20 years, i
feel like anything less than mono/stereo editions with a fat book of
macca/ringo/george martin/geoff emerick notes & mucho bonus cuts would be...a
big disappointment. after seeing the lavish reissue treatment so many lesser
bands have gotten (harper's bizarre, anyone...?), it seems like the least apple
can do. i'm not exactly holding my breath, though. it boot labels like silent
sea and vigotone hadn't already DONE comprehensive, well-packaged releases like
this (about 5 or 10 years ago, no less), it'd be a much bigger deal....
but yeah, definitely no greil marcus. as always.
