[bomp] was it the weather?
As I understand it they were British though not actually from Liverpool, and
in 1965 they came to the US, were better received here than at home, and
decided to stay. Why they chose Spokane, Washington, as their new home I have no
idea, but that's what happened. They had one very minor national hit ("Any Way
That You Want Me," #98 in 1966) but were well-known in the Pacific Northwest.

Interesting how both the Liverpool 5 and Ian Whitcomb made it to the Pacific
Northwest during that period... Ian later came down here to L.A., settling in
Pasadena. In the late '70s, Ian did a fun documentary-style show to watch
called L.A.: My Town or something like that.
