first  time I ever heard "Laugh Laugh" with the cold ending.>>

Another prime example: the first time I heard "Crystal Blue Persuasion" 
with a damned HORN SECTION towards the end, that definitely took some 
getting used to. Come to find out later that the blasting brass was 
there all the time on the 45, but the album version (and subsequent 
compilations) is hornless.
