<<Interesting piece, but I didn't find the music to be all that great.
Not bad, no, but great? Nope.>>
it's a derivative album, but i think it's derivative in the same way as the
very best garage records...sort of a
wide-eyed-kid-slavishily0aping0his-favorite-band kinda thing, but the
exuberance and energy of the songs give them a dimension beyond simple beatles
copy-band status. i love this record, love it, love it, looooooove it. it's
funny, too - all of the tracks they played on the NPR are my LEAST faves from
the album. where were "bessie goodheart," "she's not dead," or "with her" -???
i don't think the band's music wall represented too well in that piece!!!
