Re: [bomp] One Mother Of A Clip

So you think it went something like this?

SON (to Dad who has some sort of TV variety show): Pop, me and my
friends are having a hard time gettin' chicks.

DAD (to loser son): That's your problem, kiddo.

MOM (overhearing): Oh Howard, at the rate Junior's going, we're not
going to have any grandkids. And I *want* grandkids.

DAD (exasperated): What am *I* supposed to do about it?

SON (perking up): Pop, you know that song by Every Mother's Son?

DAD (getting pissed): Is that more of that noisy rock and roll?

SON (ignoring the barb, since he may finally score with chicks): Yeah.
They've got this really great song.

DAD (still believing his son is a moron): Uh-huh. So?

SON (knowing his plan is a great one): So me, Chip, Biff, Chad, and Chet
will go on your show and pretend we're them, lip-syncing to their big hit.

DAD (seeing a way to bring the youth audience to his show, but
skeptical): Son, you didn't record that song. You not only can't get a
date, but you can't sing or play music.

SON (confident for the first time in his life): Aw, Dad...Not even the
Immortal Porpoise knows what those guys look like. We'll be them on
your show and we'll get chicks!

DAD (still unsure, but catching his wife making the "agree to what he
wants, get rid of him, and you'll get some action NOW" sign): Yeah, OK.
Just get to the station on time with some instruments so it looks like
you're for real. Now...SCRAM! Your mother and I need to have...a
conversation. And it's private.
