I don't know the answer to whether the Regents were American or British, 
but (from what I remember) the sound in both sides of this 45s suggests 
the former. If I had to guess I would say they were American or at least 
based in the US. But maybe the people who put together the "That Drivin' 
Beat" comps know better...
