I picked up a second copy of this in Niagara Falls over Labour Day weekend
for $25 (there's a blue copy and a purple copy). These guys were actually
called The Montells. Mort worked for WFUN radio and booked the weekend
dances around Hialeah, Ft Lauderdale and North Miami Beach (I think that's
what he did anyway). He decided to call them H.M. Subjects to make them more
British sounding. Mort also "supervised" the recording and didn't actually
do any arranging from what I remember. I think there's an interview with The
Montells' singer Carter Ragsdale in a issue of Lance Monthly and he talks
about this stuff.
