I was in a band once. None of us could play. in fact none of us had 
instruments, save for 7 spatulas, a dulcimer, and two drunk cats. We called 
ourselves the wah wah crutch. we did a 60 minute version of don't call me 
nigger whitey. we were popular in Kent Ohio for a weekend. the girls threw 
their berets at us and the fly boys offered their Turkish cigarettes. it was 
the longest month of my life.
