[bomp] Halloween Music Question
With Halloween coming up on Tuesday, here's a question I hope someone can
answer...
Does anyone know the actual title of that piece of "spooky" music that you
*always* hear a zillion times this time of year...You know the melody I mean,
the most cliched "spooky" piece of music ever written...You hear it in the
beginning of "Strychnine" by The Sonics, "Radio Clash" by the Clash, also at the
start of "Satan's Holiday" by The Lancasters, the Fuzztones do it on their
Halloween album, and probably a dozen other records I won't remember until
after I post this. And often in sitcoms if the scene is taking place in a
haunted house...Like, I can easily imagine there being some episode of 'Saved By
The Bell' where this melody is played (probably on 1980s-style-distortion
guitar) as Screech and Zack reluctantly enter that old abandon mansion on the
hill Slater dared them to go into, or whatever.
I have a hunch Black Monk is the one who'll know the answer...he's usually
good at this kinda stuff.
