i got to see another fine set friday by the bad rackets -- fun night all the
way around. if anyone doesn't have their cd you need it. one of the
coolest things about seeing these guys live is that they add some killer
vocal harmonies to their already catchy tunes -- like the heartbreakers or
lurkers with the paley brothers singing backing vocals.
anyway, at one point i was in the bathroom at the club and noticed something
that made me laugh: what is it about punk rock dive bars that leave their
bathrooms absolutely filthy but pour a toxic amount of bleach on the floor?
is the school of thought that if customers' eyes are burning and they have
to hold their breath the whole time they're in the restroom they aren't as
likely to notice that the toilets haven't been cleaned for six months?
