There was an article about all-girl tribute bands in Spin magazine, I think it was year before last. It was whichever issue had pix of the New York Dolls at sxsw, I bought it because me and the Mrs. are visible in one of the crowd shots if you look real close.
As always, most of the issue was dedicated to things I don't care about. The article on all-girl tribute bands is the only other feature I can even remember reading.
There were The MissFits, The Ramonas, and a couple AC/DC's...Hell's Belles and at least one other. Also, the girls from Bottom were doing a side project called Lez Zepplin.
Never heard of an ElvisC version.
